The night is dark and full of terrors.
He remembered a time when he had thought that Lord Eddard Stark might marry him to Sansa and claim him for a son, but that had only been a child’s fancy.

I never met my mother. My father wouldn’t even tell me her name. I don’t know if she’s living or dead. I don’t know if she’s a noblewoman or a fisherman’s wife… or a whore. So I sat there in the brothel as Ros took off her clothes. But I couldn’t do it. Because all I could think was what if I got her pregnant and she had a child, another bastard named Snow? It’s not a good life for a child.

“that one’s yours, Jon Snow”
Gods give me courage. She took one step, then another. Lords and knights stepped aside silently to let her pass, and she felt the weight of their eyes on her. I must be as strong as my lady mother.
As one of Robb’s battle companions Dacey had chosen to remain by his side.

I have been thinking about this a lot lately. I guess since Ramsay has come into play… we all start thinking about ADWD and the plot-lines within. Jeyne Poole is a great character - an idealistic and naive innocent who is good friends with Sansa Stark. Though, they will most probably replace her with an already existing character - as Willas was replaced with Loras… because who can remember that many characters (um?) and it will confuse audiences too much (um?)
I think they are going to replace Jeyne with Ros. I know that Ros would not be able to be passed off as Arya… and I can’t say how they are going to make it work, in my opinion they wont and it will be awful. Logistically, it doesn’t work… but think of what they have done to the plot of the books so far. Replacing Willas with Loras, who is meant to be in the Kingsguard and unable to marry….The changes they have made to Catelyn’s character? I believe to D & D - anything is possible.
Obviously, I still have my doubts and can’t 100% say that this will happen - they could in fact cast someone as Jeyne, even though I would be fairly shocked.
I know some people believe that Talisa might replace Jeyne… but I think they have put in some subtle foreshadowing in the show, that leads me to suspect that Jeyne will become Ros.
1. They have established a relationship between Ros and Theon.
When Theon first sees Jeyne (who is being presented as Arya) he instantly recognises her as Jeyne Poole. Theon would most probably not have met Talisa and would not recognize her so quickly. I feel like they have created this relationship between Ros and Theon for a couple of reasons; to show us more of Theon’s character and to set the stage for Theon to recognise Ros later down the line. They have not mentioned Jeyne Poole - apart from being an extra in the first episode. It may confuse ‘show watchers’ to bring her in… they have changed characters before for less!
2. They have put Ros in several situation that are truly awful already.
I could say that Ros is already the female punching bag of the show. Ros, created to replace minor characters and to be beaten and emotionally tortured! We have seen Ros crying (quite rightfully) over the death of the bastard baby at the brothel, and we have also seen Ros quite bothered having to inflict pain on her colleague under the demands of King Joffrey. Sure, these are common things to bother people. I would be upset by them too, but I feel like Ros being put into these situations that make her upset and uncomfortable is foreshadowing for what is going to happen to her with Ramsay. Especially the scene with Joffrey, with him holding the crossbow towards them, and instructing her to inflict pain on the other prostitute - it just seems like foreshadowing to me, as well as a way to show more of Joffrey’s sadistic behaviour.
3. They have established that Ros is under Baelish’s tutelage.
It is known that Baelish took Jeyne in after the Eddard is executed in Kings Landing and she says later she has been ‘trained’ to please men. I assume that Baelish has trained Jeyne within his brothels - it is also Baelish that supplies the Lannister’s with Jeyne to marry off to Ramsay. It is easy to assume that they might replace Jeyne with Ros - who is already working with Baelish, and has mentioned she is ‘one of his girls’. I can see Baelish offering Ros up instead of Jeyne as we haven’t had any word about Jeyne being with Baelish as of yet.
Well, that is my long winded explanation of my thinking. What do you think? I would love to hear some different views and ideas!
